We have had a busy few weeks at SCF, and I neglect We have had a busy few weeks at SCF, and I neglected taking a moment to stop and appreciate and congratulate some awesome 18 year olds who have had a big impact on the shop. These young men graduated high school earlier this month and are both bound for great things. First, my son Cameron. While he’s only welded a little, he has always been a huge help behind the scenes. Whether it’s running errands, cleaning up and prepping plates for aux tanks, or even just helping me clean… he’s been a huge help. He will be heading to high performance automotive maintenance school in a couple months. Second, Elias Haynes. Elias’s mom Tawny has been a family friend for a few years. Elias started coming in once a week right after we opened, learning to weld and helping around the shop when he could. He enrolled in the welding program in high school and completed it taking and passing AWS welding qualifications last month. Now he’s joining our crew for the summer before he starts the welding and fabrication program at FVCC this fall. I’m excited to see what these two accomplish in the future, and hope to keep them part of the SCF operation for as long as we can. Replacing the pillion seat and tucked in to allow standard top cases, this tank is 4.7 gallons. Plumbed similar to the BMWs, it requires to small holes to be drilled in a bracket. The bike can be returned to stock quickly and easily. Whether it is designing a new fuel tank, adding 3D Whether it is designing a new fuel tank, adding 3D printed products to our lineup, modifying trailers, or even building a fancy garden chair for grandma…. We can do it all. No to days are ever the same at SCF. Haily, who is running pack mules in the Bob Marshal Wilderness for the summer, just eyeballed all the bends for her grandmas stool. It came out pretty amazing. kmfabricationllc stepped in to simplify modifying this horse trailer ramp to a door (aluminum/steel trailer) with a brilliant solution…. Plus, I managed to pull off another “build by braille” aux tank for the FJR 1300, working off pictures and face time calls. We love what we do, and I live getting to watch former students excel far beyond my own skills. If you have that odd, difficult, or “impossible” project, come see us.
